Is there anything else you want to share with us about this dealership?cars.com and the dealer's website quoted MSRP and made no mention of the markup or dealer installed options on the website or when I set up an appointment to test drive/purchase the vehicle. They marked up the MSRP by 50% and added $1200 in dealer installed options. Cars.com and the dealer's website quoted MSRP and made no mention of the markup or dealer installed options. I immediately walked out. Emails from the staff requesting feedback, to which I responded on April 11, have gone unanswered. Here is what I wrote to Lauryn Rothaermel (Sales) and to Jake Chambers (Sales Manager): I was there about an hour ago and Micheal offered me a test drive. However, no one told me that the Maverick was marked up 50% and had an additional $1200 dealer add-ons. The truck was advertised on cars.com and your own website at MSRP with absolutely no mention of the markup or dealer add-ons. Michael offered the weak excuse that it takes time to update prices on the websites and that he understood my objection to this egregious situation and merely offered "that's the way it is". I don't mind paying the dealer fees, which are generally about $1000-$2000, but a 50% markup makes no sense. How would I possibly get a loan for such an over-priced truck and justify the value to myself? I don't need the truck that bad. Any retort?
