What accessories or protection packages did they require you to purchase and how much did they charge you? They were hard on selling their add-ons such as the paint protection, door guards, and their own version of LoJack. Their LoJack was 2k on its own, and they refuse to have it removed.
Is there anything else you want to share with us about this dealership?I contacted them since I lived reasonably close by and could go after work. I placed my information on their website and connected to their sales staff, David T., via text. David T. asked what type of vehicle I was interested in, and I mentioned that I was interested in the Corolla Cross and the Rav4. Due to the shortage, I knew there was a possibility of not having a Corolla Cross on the site, but I asked if they did. He said yes, so I scheduled an appointment to go. When I arrived, the receptionist said that I would be meeting David T. shortly. Instead, I met Veronica P. and was informed that David T. is currently closing a deal, so he was unavailable. I mentioned that I was interested in the Corolla Cross, and she said that they did not have any. Somewhat bummed, I looked into the Rav4s. Veronica was excellent in providing information regarding the car. She covered the differences between trim levels and explained each of them nicely. Afterward, we sat down to discuss the price. Each vehicle had roughly 5k-8k added on top of the MSRP. I told her that I would buy the Rav4 now if they removed the dealership add-ons, and she said she could not do that. I thanked her for her time and was about to leave. As I was about to, David T. came and apologized that the Corolla Cross I was initially interested in was never there. He then adds that the person I talked to was not him but another person whose primary goal is to bring people in. It could've saved everyone involved the trouble if they had just been truthful. So I left. After some consideration, I decided to get a Rav4 Hybrid LE instead. I contacted them and was told they have a couple of those available since the initial buyer backed out. Not quite sure why I believed it, but I came again. I figured it was not David T. that I would be talking to again, though it was odd that his name was on the signature. I was introduced to Damian D. He was very straightforward with the numbers. They told me that even though it was MSRP, it was "impossible" for me to order a Rav4 Hybrid XLE without the add-ons. He even mentioned that all cars now have a 5- 15k mark up on top of MSRP because of the current situation. Like the previous person, I told him that I would place an order and buy the vehicle if they did not add the extra addons. Fees included. It was 35k + 8k of add-ons that I did not want. I insisted that, but he said it was impossible to do so. Like before, I thanked him for his time and left.
