Is there anything else you want to share with us about this dealership? The car was on order by the dealership for their inventory before my putting down the deposit. It still took two months for delivery. I wasn't wise enough to have signed a sales contract before delivery, but came out relatively okay. By the time the car arrived, the dealership had implemented a $1500 market adjustment, but they stuck to the original MSRP, even though the new MSRP had gone up $500. I talked to the general manager and said I didn't want the ceramic coating or "nitrogen", since these were dealer-installed options. He told me these weren't optional at that time, but couldn't have been more honest with his cost for these ($119 for the ceramic coating which retailed for $999). They were receiving so few cars he had reduced the number of sales persons to only a handful and could easily sell the car at the higher MSRP + market adjustment + dealer-installed options. I never felt like he was threatening, just being honest about trying to stay in business. He even shared the automotive group he works for wouldn't allow their own employees to buy cars there as they were being reserved for their customers, so when his wife needed a new car, he had to go elsewhere to buy. When closing on the car, I purchased the 48-month, prepaid service maintenance plan. Based on what I'm currently hearing on YAA, this might have been a very wise decision.
