I purchased a Ram 1500 with the V8 Hemi, with current fuel prices deals can actually be had on these models. I'm fortunate that I don't drive a lot and its getting the same mpg as my V6 Colorado. Suggested Retail was $48k and I got it for $42k after instinctives and discounts plus great trade in value on my Colorado!
