|Is there anything else you want to share with us about this dealership?||Nick was helpful and attentive to my mom's questions. Update: unfortunately I can’t do a detailed review about the buying process and all of that since the car my mom wanted & was set on was sold the day we test-drove it. I do appreciate them attempting to get in another one of the specific EV she wanted. Update 2: Despite Hyundai, Iowa city failing to replace a part on my uncle's Hyundai (which has a warranty) we still wanted to give them our business. On Monday 05/02/22 my mom went in to purchase the vehicle she wanted even though the color is not to her taste. Unfortunately, that purchase did not occur since the dealership refused to budge on the price at all.
We don’t think that a used 2020 car that has been on the lot for 179 days & counting is worth the price of a brand new 2022 vehicle. She’s better off ordering a new 2022 vehicle with no previous owners, no worries, etc. It’s understandable not wanting to negotiate a BRAND NEW vehicle but not wanting to negotiate a USED vehicle is really odd. It’s clear that this dealership does not want to create a loyal local customer base. We won’t be returning here and will be purchasing the same vehicle for a far more fair price at one that is not a local dealership. The same vehicle of interest is priced at 32k with only 606 miles while the one at Iowa City Hyundai is priced at 42k out the door with nearly 5k miles. Breaks never changed, tires never changed, etc. It wasn’t the salesman’s fault entirely it was his manager/boss who vetoed any negotiation happen which is unfortunate for all parties. This was our first time going to a dealership that absolutely refused to negotiate. Good luck & Godspeed buyers.|
