Is there anything else you want to share with us about this dealership?Got a bit lucky when calling around dealerships and called shortly after someone had pulled their deposit for a RAV4 LE Hybrid. They were very helpful and I was able to put a $1,000 refundable deposit to hold the car. During the build and transportation time, they were responsive and answered my questions. They did have a flat market adjustment as well as a dealer installed security alarm. During my initial email correspondence I was able to get the charge for the alarm removed from the total sale price but I was not able to get them to budge at all on the market adjustment. All in all, the markup was ~$3,000, which was a lower markup than I was finding in the surrounding area (which ran anywhere from $5-$10k). I was a cash buyer and they did not force any additional warranties on me in the F&I office. Was in and out in about an hour once the car was delivered to the dealership. All-in-all, a decent experience given the current market, but certainly not selling at MSRP.

Is there anything else you want to share with us about this dealership? You wrote a review for Toyota Of Santa Barbara 2 months ago 1.0 star rating1/23/2022 This review is for the SALES (New) Department. This dealership is one of the highest price Toyota dealerships in Santa Barbara and Ventura County. Overall...When I walked in and asked for the Out The Door (OTD) price on a vehicle plus a specifically added feature, it took over 30 minutes for them to write it on a piece of paper doing the back and forth from product specialist to sales manager. The OTD included a $15k over MSRP markup that did not include the added feature I stated. When the Sales Mgr gave it to me, I asked him, does this include all the features I asked about? then he goes back and then tells me it to add another roughly $2k on top of the already insane price. Sales Mgr gave all the excuses of why there is high pricing, chip shortage, COVID, inflation, etc.. He even accused me of not buying a new car during COVID to which I have done and seemed shocked when I said yes I had bought a car during COVID. He used the "Everyone" excuse (without citing who they are)...obviously his everyone is different than my everyone (Your Advocate Alliance and Kevin the Homework Guy on youtube). The Product Specialist (first level sales guy) initially hit me up whether I was going to pay cash or finance while pulling out the 4 square card. I said I don't do the four square or discuss how I am going to pay without knowing the price of vehicle (Following Your Advocate Alliance and Kevin the Homework Guy). The Product Specialist pushed again about money, and I said I don't discuss financing unless you are authorized to sign out a car from the dealership. He looked befuddled then said he only goes over the car features as a Product Specialist.....then why are you talking money, payment and finance decisions? The whole auto sales dealership model is outdated and outmoded. Avoid this dealership for a new car. Dont be an easy target layup for them. Know the model and features for the car you want, get the OTD price before going into a dealership.
