Is there anything else you want to share with us about this dealership?I had a Hyundai Family Circle Plan discount. The stipulation of the discount is that the vehicle has to be on the lot. The vehicle has a price of 3% under MSRP plus an additional Hyundai Cash discount. I was shocked with the amount!!! Of all the local Hyundai dealerships I called, to confirm if they will accept the plan the salesman, Serje at Escondido Hyundai was the only one who followed up. He said they have a couple of Tucsons with what I am looking for. He did say they have the alarm system. I was Okay? with that, kind of. The discount was enough, I didn't worry too much. After the test drive, we sat down and talked a bit. Serje is a retired Marine, great guy!!! His guys that he led really loved him, I could tell from the parting gift they gave him. BEAUTIFUL!!! The salesmgr comes in to explain the dealer add-ons (up another $1500 to $3000), here's your out the door price. I was pretty pissed off, even called my family member who I got the discount from. He was pissed. I understand that the dealerships are hurting. Record low inventories, etc. They kind of had me over a barrel. I took a Lyft ride to the dealership. Plus I was in a lot of discomfort, from a recent surgery and just wanted to go home. They cut me a 10% discount on the add-ons. I should have just walked out!!! But, in the back of my mind, after hearing Toyota's news of slowing production, etc I was thinking vehicles will be even more difficult to find. So, I signed the bottomline. I like the vehicle, but, if I didn't have the discount I would have waited another 4-5 weeks for a Toyota RAV4 that I had a hold on. I also recommend getting financing before heading out. That saved me some $$$, 6 years @ 2.48%. With the family discount they can't give preferred financing.
